Check the forecast by 11:00am. The GM checks each morning.
Outreach begins if 50% or higher chance of rain during service.
We should all be using the National Weather Service forecast, which
is what this board reads. If you are offsite when reviewing, change
the location to your restaurant's neighborhood.
-
Request approval by 12:00pm. The GM texts Brian, Alicia and
Jon. No outreach to a guest happens before approval. CH will approve
or deny by 1:00pm.
-
Send by OpenTable. Use the approved script for that venue.
No edits to the language. The message needs to go out to all
reservations in the affected time window by 2:00pm that day.
-
Respond back to all guests by 5:00pm. Book reschedules before
confirming them. Release cancellations and note weather as the
reason. Flag guests who are still coming so the host team knows.
Mark those who did not respond accordingly.
-
Night of judgement calls closer to service. The weather here
is fickle and it is hard to tie down specific precipitation windows.
If seating plans need to change, if we are opening or closing a
portion of seating, communicate that to the chain from earlier.
